Dipl.-Ing. Rotraud Freytag studied plastics engineering at the Montanuniversität Leoben. Since 2001 she is employed as researcher with the additional responsibility for customer orders in the Transfercenter für Kunststofftechnik.
In her thesis she worked on the thermoanalytical and mechanical characterization of artificially aged plastic films for transparent thermal insulation.
As representative manager for the conformity assessment body she worked on different aspects of thermal, rheological and mechanical characterisation of plastics and the preparation of accredited test reports. Furthermore she works on material data generation for injection molding simulation, especially the pvT-behaviour of polymers under processing related conditions.
Since 2004 she is a lecturer in the field of injection molding simulation and process technology injection molding at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria.
