Size matters? Results may surprise you. Our new publication deals with mechanical disintegration of textile waste. We investigated the influence of differently sized sieve inserts on milling efficiency, stirrability and enzymatic degradability of cotton and polyester-cotton blends.
„The influence of particle size and polyester content on rheological properties and enzymatic hydrolysis of knife-milled polycotton textile waste” was published in the December edition of Elsevier journal Results in Engineering. This research was funded through projects TexPET (FFG) and PLASTICE (EU Horizon 2020).
