The AZUR network (Allianz Zukunft Reifen, or Alliance for the Future of Tyres) has set itself the task of recycling old tyres in an ecologically and economically sensible manner. Under this motto, we were invited to their members’ meeting on 26 and 27 February 2026 in Steyrermühl at the Alte Fabrik by our cooperation partner and organiser KIAS Recycling. We took the chance to make valuable new contacts and discuss topics such as retreading, chemical recycling and reuse. Additionally, we could present our contribution to tyre recycling: as part of the ReTyre research project, 30% of used tyre rubber has already been devulcanised and reincorporated into new products.
